i like to use this super trend indicator.

i was wondering if there was a simple way to use ninjascript to turn it into a strategy where i long is taken when the line turns from red to green, and vice versa for shorting.

ive attached a pic, i feel like this should be pretty basic i just cant seem to crack it.

I'm pretty sure there is a BoolSeries named Trend in most SuperTrend versions including @Fat Tails version, just look at that to know if it's "green or red" then take action appropriately.

@emily28,

You seem to already have the indicator including the color logic series on your Ninja. So, from the menu go in Tools > New NinjaScript > Strategy and start building the strategy.

It is very intuitive and you do not need to be a programmer.

i got this indicator off of a website, so i didnt build it

when i go into ninjascript strategy what would the next logical step be.
ive really only built strategies that said, when this line crosses below that line do this......

since this is just a singular indicator im not sure what to do.

should i attach the screen capture of the details of this indicator?

@emily28,

If your indicator file is open source (with a .cs extension, not a protected .dll file then it will have the logic to look at to build the strategy.

You can post (attach) the file here if open source and someone will help you with that:
