@vantojo, Im not a coder and have now spent at least 16 hours on this apparently simple problem. Even your code above must be short hand that a coder would understand, i.e... make something a variable, put this piece of the code here and not there.
If anyone visits this thread again and figures out how to limit the speak to a single alert I would apprecate if you would mention me so I can try and fix this. For now I fear I have wasted the weekend. Thanks.

Windows has text to speech capability that can be used by NinjaTrader. That means that instead of having a bunch of indicators that play back humorous but meaningless and confusing .wav files, your indicators can recite text that can be controlled programatically …
Look at this post in particular. It is not a good idea to use Async mode. Way too risky to allow the speaker to paralyze Ninjatrader, you might miss a stop or something.
Found another thread here at nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) with some good resources about static variables and classes. It would never do to have more than one talking at the same time. That would not be "Portland Polite".
