I am seeking the path of least resistance. I am beginning to believe it crosses through here...
I learned programming in the 80s and spent a varied carrier since, mostly engineering and law. I am looking to build competency in NinjaScript.
I have an indicator in mind that involves the following:
creating a new drawing tool and a button on the main menu of the chart panel to activate it;
a draw object, drawn with the new drawing tool, that has certain qualities, including a targeting mode, wherein certain items are displayed, two of which are a "confirm" button and an "abort" button, both of which trigger events that are thereafter managed by different methods; and
a main routine that makes predictions regarding future price action, based on where these draw objects are placed and "influence levels" assigned to each.
Questions:
1) Is it reasonable to assume there might be a programmer who can sling this code and help me with the structure (I feel confident in my understanding of what is possible) during a fairly brief consultation; or
Should I continue to learn this on my own until I can program it completely myself?
I am pretty confident I can interactively assist in the programming that I think only an hour or so would result in something I could then "debug" on my own.
2) Are all the things I mention as capabilities of this indicator possible? E.g., is it possible to place a button on the Chart Tool Bar to enable a drawing tool? Can additional selections be added to a right-click menu? Can these selections be determined based on the location of the cursor -- can I point to my draw object, right-click, then select a specific item that imparts its function to the draw object, such as enable alerts associated with the object?
3) Is my best option to join futures.io (formerly BMT) Elite and search there and pose questions (an option that I intend to do anyway, even if I can spend something reasonable with someone who will field a "Team Viewer" session and sling some code at my direction?

I'm with you in I'd like to see more reference or guide materials on ninjascript than just the help files. For example I think there should be a way to show current session p/l on the chart or some bar on chart trader. But I don't know which are the methods or properties of Ninja to call.
