You would need to normalize the MACD first, before you add support and resistance bands.

I can't tell you how many folks have said that about me....

I'm just a simple man trading a simple plan.

Speaking of abnormal MACDeeez ...
I was wondering if it possible to create a MACD that utilizes Fat Tail's Moving Median lines
instead of the normal micky D I mean MACD mov avg choices?

This is possible, however you have to pay attention to the details.

The moving median puts an equal weight to the close of the last bar and the close N bars ago. This means that it is a close relative of the simple moving average SMA, but not the exponential moving average EMA. As the MACD uses exponential moving averages, you would first have to build an exponentially weighted median. This is possible, but to get a better result, I would suggest to use at least a TPO median, before applying the exponential weighting to the sample values. I do not have that exponential median ready and available just now.

When using the simple moving median, you get something similar to the Awesome Oscillator, which is built from SMAs. The chart below shows the outcome, but I do not think that the result justifies the effort. You may as well stick stick with the Awesome Oscillator.

@Fat Tails

Do members like you store all your custom built indicators on a section in this site?
So far I've read that you have a great MACD BB indicator, and people are saying you're the "Big Man on Campus" around here.
Can you post a link to the area where you store all your stuff so I can browse through it?
Thanks
