Please Help, driving me mad!!

Hi everyone,

I am trying to learn how to code strategies in ninjascript. I am taking indicators and trying to adjust them to trade automaticly and then play with them from there. This one whowever is driving me up the wall, I just cant seem to get it working.

Its simple to someone who knows how, all I want to do is enter long on a blue plot and short on a red plot with a trailing stop.

Why wont it work, if someone can help me and point out how to code it correctly I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Ryan

Why wont it work

What is not working? Error message? No trades?

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Hi Mike,

Sorry about that, not a very informative post. I am trying to adjust the code to submit orders when the ZLTEMA indicators are initiated either long or short. When I try to compile the code I get inundated with errors and I dont know where to start. I am looking for someone who knows what they are doing with regards to ninjascript so they can take a look at the code and point out my errors and how to remady them.

Thanks for the reply.

Ryan

I am not in front of my machine so I cannot compile, but you do have a few errors.

Start at the first error and work your way down.

Lines like this where you calculate the zltema34slope tend to be where you can find problems like mismatched parens.

Code
 zltema34slope = (int)(radToDegrees*(Math.Atan((ZeroLagTEMA(Period)[0]-(ZeroLagTEMA(Period)[1]+ZeroLagTEMA(Period)[2])/2)/1.5/TickSize)));

Math. A gateway drug to reality.
