Dear Mike Sir I am very happy with this forum. Because since a year I am preparing myself for trading by reading different source of material. But everything is more of theoretical than practical. But your forum gives me lot of practical visualization.
I don't have programming knowledge. So if any one in this forum able to program the following formula as Ninja6.5 Indicator I will be most thankful .
1) Pivot Range Historical. It helps me to predict the day's direction.
The upper line is :TC
The lower line is :BC
Middle one :Pivot
Formula:TC BC LINE
TC : (Pivot-BC)+Pivot
PIVOT : (HIGH+LOW+CLOSE)/3
BC : (HIGH+LOW)/2
This one is very simple but most effective. I have this one in Metatrader.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
NinjaTrader 6.5. is pretty unstable and no longer supported. You will have difficulties to find anybody code something for NT 6.5.
What you are looking for, is the so-called pivot range as defined by Mark Fisher in his book "The Logical Trader". The pivot range is available for NinjaTrader 7.0. Just download the SessionPivots indicator in default settings and amongst others you will notice three lines
PP -> this is the main pivot
Y-Mid -> this is what you call BC
Y-PRL -> this is what you call TC
I have colored the pivot range in blue to make it visible. Please note that the indicator only works with the appropriate session templates.
The pivot range is indeed an excellent trend filter. I also use it as a rolling pivot range over a 3-day period. The second chart shows the rolling pivot range and how it can be used as a trend filter.
Franklin Ochoa introduces some indicators in his book, secrets of pivot boss, and has shared the codes at the end of the book.
im looking for these indicators to use in MT4.i don't know programming so i cant use these codes.
i have searched the entire web but couldn't find them.
can anybody help me ,please.
