What do you mean by "wrapper indicator?"

An indicator that calls other indicators and evaluates/acts on them. In this case to annotate the chart.
Hence the called indicators are "embedded" inside the other indicator. The instances of the called indicators inside the "wrapper" indicator are not the same instances as you placed on your chart. NT instantiates each separately.
"wrapper" is not a formal term.

In a Strategy, when you embed the indicator, you have the option to "Add" the indicator to your chart so you can see the same instance that the strategy code is using. There is no equivalent Add() in Indicator code; therefore, if you want to see it on the chart, you must add it yourself as a separate instance with potentially different parameters.

Hello forrestang. I just found your thread -- it looks like this all started while I was out of town. I certainly do not want to derail your programming learning experience. I think that Prof Schamp would have referred you to me if you asked him about how to read the code as I wrote these Ninjatrader indicators for him.

FYI, I just sent him an updated version as I have been working on a wrapper indicator that diagrams his Office entry & exit rule set. However, since it appears that you modified the indicators, that probably does not matter now. I hope you renamed the indicators when you changed the code to avoid confusion with his supported indicators?

good trading!

@LostTrader

Please bear with me I am old and slow... are the indicators you wrote available for down load ?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Regards,
TMFT

TMFT,
I don't upload them anywhere. They were written for Professor William Schamp based on his PricePHYSICS(tm) system definition and requirements. Since I consider the indicators to be his code, I simply send them to him. It is my understanding that he will provide them to anyone who asks, for free without catch. I think it is that he simply likes to know who is using them.

He also sends out an email several times a week (not daily anymore) with sample charts for various markets to help folks read the charts.

His email is wm.schamp @ gmail.com

@LostTrader

Do you know of other email for him?
It bounces back the emails I sent.

Would you know if he still gives away the indicator you wrote?

And is it much different from the old one you posted at ET in 2009?
