It is about time for zero commissions.

More interesting, from my point of view, is the removal of the base fee for options by Schwab (and now TDAmeritrade). Both are going to a straight 65 cents / option. Noticed TDAmeritrade no longer charges for exercises and assignments. Tradestation charges $14.95. Looks like there will be a lot of pressure for everyone to fall in line.

This is probably even more important than the e-micros. Looking back, my biggest trading issue was being unable to take the heat because the amount of leverage from one e-mini (or 10 options) was too large.

I wonder if they will offer better day trade margins on futures. IIRC, they used to be 25% of overnight margin. They can afford to do 10%-15%.

There are FCMs that do offer low day trading margins.

It speaks of non-US stocks and options but not forex. Will it allow for currency conversions as FX trading ?
