my opinion is that a lot of this is due to the strong monetary stimulus going on in the US and Europe. The correlation between monetary expansion and the stock market is very strong. This is due to expansion programs causing lower yields in the fixed income markets. Portfolio managers are then crowded out of the fixed income market and into equities, which leads to a rise in stock prices. as long as the monetary stimulus continues, the stock market will have a very powerful driving force behind it.
