Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Storm havoc sweeps US

Thunderstorms across the United States have killed at least 12 people and left three million people without power in and around the capital, Washington DC.

Storms swept in from the Midwest states with winds of up to 130 kilometres an hour.

The storm damage was followed by roasting temperatures in the eastern United States.

Six people were killed in Virginia in storm-related incidents, while two Maryland residents died in the storm.

One was struck by a falling tree, while the other was electrocuted after a tree crashed into a house in Montgomery County.

In New Jersey, two cousins aged two and seven were killed by a falling tree in a state park, while two people were reported dead in Washington DC.

Emergencies have been declared in Washington DC, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.

President Barack Obama authorised the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate all disaster relief efforts in storm-ravaged Ohio.

Power outages left many sweltering without air-conditioning, and it could take a week to restore power to some areas.

Officials are urging residents to stay out of the sun and drink plenty of water.

The fierce storms came as firefighters battled a deadly blaze in Colorado, which has lest hundreds homeless.

Crews say they have contained 45 per cent of the fire, which has killed two people and destroyed 347 homes.
