Dollar Index: Price-adjusted Broad ( Some people who were old enough to remember $1/gallon gasoline have a difficult time understanding why we're paying $3.50/gallon today. You get blame for everything from Congress (refinery regulations, etc) to the President, to OPEC, to Speculators... but RARELY is the Federal Reserve ever mentioned. The bottom line is that the dollar index is at it's lowest point EVER in relevant history. The other culprit that's rarely mentioned is the GI-FRIGGIN-NORMOUS mob of Asians called "Chinese Nationals" that began consuming anything and everything in massive quantities in the middle of the last decade.
