I've never believed that Government borrowing money to band-aid something ever works. Therefore I do not support ideas like the stimulus.

However I don't necessary agree with the correlation presented in the article that the stimulus has worked in reverse.

There has been several major global events happening over the last year. Compared to these events how can these economists correlate that the stimulus worked in reverse and caused further unemployment.

If you want to find out why all this is happening, read these two books:

Endgame, by John Mauldin (The End of the Debt Supercycle and How It Changes Everything)

*AND*

The Great Depression Ahead, by Harry S. Dent, Jr.

These are cyclical things we're experiencing. They happen in 60 - 80 year cycles.

(1929 + 80 = 2009). It's happened before and will happen again.

Read the books!

It's not a Republican or Democrat problem. It's a greed problem. Always has been. Always will be.

It would be nice if all countries could have a trade surplus, but then, who would they be selling to?

Read the books!

After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!
