Obama Issuing Directives Aimed at Increasing Domestic U.S. Oil Production
Just think, if he'd been on this wagon 3 years ago....we'd be 3 years better into that process.
This is a longer, short term solution to several problems caused by our dependency on oil. It's very necessary and healthy for us as a nation, both economically and diplomatically/internationally with respect to the Middle East/SW Asia.
I applaud him for this now, regardless of his political motivations (always reward the behavior, not the intent right?).
I do find it strange and odd how much he's turned 180 on many of his campaign promises from 2008.
I think the Republicans got exactly what they wanted.
