Multicharts.net did not close a manually entered live trade today when clicking on the "close" button on the dom. It removed the stop loss and target instead. I clicked "close" again and this time it did close out the trade.

I talked to support at Multicharts and was told that using the close button on the dom or chart trading can result in orders being left in place with the broker and to always use the order and position tracker window to close orders.

My question is if there is some way to make the close button actually work right and close the position and attached orders as it says it's supposed to do in the manual.

I scalp and I don't want to use the orders and position tracker window to close trades.

If anyone knows of a workaround for this, please let me know. Thanks.

Nevermind.

I only leave enough money in the account to trade one contract at a time, and the trade log shows an error for insufficient margin.

So when I have a stop and target OCO in place and try to close out my trade without cancelling those OCO orders first then I don't have enough margin to close the trade because it's treated as a separate, new order. I may have to drag and drop the stop loss or target to close trades.
