Sierra Chart Engineering: ''Multi charts is going to be coming to an end''
I saw this little unpolished gem by Sierra Chart Engineering. If this is the case, then I think traders deserve to know it as soon as possible.
Sierra Chart Engineering:
''Multi charts is going to be coming to an end as we understand in a month or two. Maybe this is not public information yet. But we did hear this from AMP. And most likely the users will move over to Sierra Chart. ''
judging by the announcements in the Multicharts forum and in their blog this doesn't sound likely for the flagship versions, though. There is a free special version of Multicharts.NET that AMP offers, but from the quote it's not clear if they refer to that.
Hmmm, the post from SC support has been removed. (and I'd agree the info in their post about MC sounds improbable.)
And as you say, AMP has a partnership with MC for an OEM version that can only be used with AMP's broker partners, and my guess would be that this could be what is "coming to an end", if anything.
MC is just now releasing version 14 with some new portfolio autotrading features, among others.
Hey it IS removed, well I guess thats ''interesting'' indeed
I have no stake in this guys, I just thought that Sierra Chart Engineering is(maybe I was wrong if they pull it like that) a reliable source to quote and that more knowledgeable people like you could see what to make of it. Im just doing my part for the community.
Guys, I read the thread, and I can not say that I am aware of any changes to Multicharts.
Second, people are confusing the fact that you still need a connection for order routing, and Denali is not an order routing system. I Assume when they say "our own" it is the one connected to TT.
We decided at Optimus Futures, that we help each customer based on the needs of the trader without the hearsay and the constant "arguments" over data feeds. We will support Rithmic, CQG, CTS, and TT.
