I tried that link but due to my lack of C# skills accessing that interface and getting what I want is becoming a lot more complex for me. Anyway, I guess I have to wait for Easy Language version. Thanks. I thought this is an existing indicator provided by MC but looks like not.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
In MC (both .NET and EL) Vol Profile is not supported on charts like Renko, linebreak, PF etc. unlike in SC or Ninja. So to come around this issue what we have to do is add another data set (i.e data 2 with mins) and enable profile on that but here the issue is since we are plotting data2 on top of data1 (Renko), Renko bars will all be misplaced with gaps between the bars. Next option would be make data2 hide and plot VP on data2 via indicator now you can see proper Renko chart (data1) and VP (data2). Makes sense? or is there an easy way to do it?
I am not aware of another solution, except maybe to use two charts, one being your Renko and the other the minute chart (this would at least get around the bar spacing issue).
as far as I am aware there are no plans to make the Profile Data available in the PowerLanguage version of Multicharts. You'd have to either use a secondary data stream there too and compute your own volume at price.
Alternatively you can send in the volume at price information from a tick chart (for example) via external DLLs. Programming wise both approaches likely require even more work than the C# approach in Multicharts.NET. Besides that you can use GDI+ for the graphics in MC.NET and would have to use text/trendlines in regular MC.
