I am having issues trading with MultiCharts using iQFEED for my data and Rithmic as my broker. I use symbol mapping to map the iQFEED data to Rithmic but when my strategy makes a trade MultiCharts will either cancel or reject the order. I was wondering if anybody out there uses this same setup and has been successful.
The charts are setup using daily bars built on minutes and using a continuous contract of the ES (@ES#C) from iQFEED and then map it to Rithmic front month contract (ESU6). Signals are generated on the close of the bar and all trades are done at the open of the next bar at market. Time in force is set to DAY.
Not sure where the problem is. Any help would be most appreciated.
if you take a look at the Alerts and Log tabs of the Order and Position Tracker, is there anything that might offer a clue as to why the order was cancelled?
As far as I am aware MC will not reject an order by itself, so it might have to do with your settings and the logs might give a clue about the cause of the rejection.
Instrument: @ES#C; Order: Buy Market 1; Status: Rejected; Reason: The order cannot be placed: no instrument-specific reference data for symbol ESU6.CME has been received.
the issue seems related to the broker data, but you might want to contact the MC help desk to make sure.
There are only a few threads in the MC forum (like this one for example), but there doesn't seem to be a simple fix for it.
By the way you can show your appreciation for a post here on Futures.io using the "Thanks" button under it.
