Momentum rotation possible?

I'm considering moving off of TS. I want to build a momentum chaser that rotates among 10-15 symbols but only holds one position at a time (e.g. the strongest momentum name). Ideally I could just load the symbols in a chart and then interact with them based on their data stream designation (e.g. Buy Data2, Sell Data4, etc.). In fact, it looks like they somehow just copied everything which is crazy. Setting that aside, has anyone built a strategy like this one with Multicharts? Is it even possible without using these 'portfolio' apps that both companies have brought to market (and which I find to be less than helpful for what I'm trying to accomplish)? Thx.
