Hey everyone, I have been test driving ninjatrader and multicharts.net for the past month and I have to say I think multicharts is the better product.

However, they do not have the same downloadable database of indicators. I primarily use HMA's (hull moving average) and a double stochastic or "stochastic stochastic" as the indicators on my charts.

These are not part of the standard indicators with multicharts.net. I am not a C# programmer, which seems like something that would be handy for multicharts.net, so I am looking for help on finding these indicators for multicharts.net.

Is the only option to hire someone to write the code? It seems like there has to be other people out there that want the same basic indicators as I do.

better product? maybe but with fewer coders they will cont. falling behind in indicators departments. Lets not forget Ninja 8 coming soon.

I appreciate your opinion on the difference between the platform, and I understand everyone has their own reason for using a certain platform, but that was not what I was asking.

A suggestion: if someone reading this thread is considering making one of these indicators, it would probably help if you provide links to the code of these indicators. Googling 'double stochastics indicator', for example, already shows at least three versions.

Hi there, I originally posted in a different section before becoming an elite member.

An example of the Double Stochastic I am looking for can be found here

And the Hull moving average calculation is something like

HMA - Hull's Moving Average

or

Hull Moving Average

Sooooo since the last post from upspilotzzz posted it's been 11 months and 14 days since I just inquired today.

No one knows if there are C# programmers. Hey upspilotzzz or anyone who might know find a MultiCharts .net indicator package you could purchase that has HMA, find a C# developer, or learn to program C# to solve your HMA request? I did a search and I don't see any Multicharts .net indicators. Hey programmers...this might be an untapped market? Anyone? Anyone out there?

It's not an untapped market. No one uses MultiCharts because there is no development which causes people to move to other platforms. With no users, there's no point in developing anything and then you get the stagnation. I think most people just get frustrated and hop over to a platform that actually has a community built around it.

Thanks for the reply. It's a nice platform. Sad there is not demand/community for developers to bother like you mentioned. I guess this is my new reason to learn C#.

It is a good platform, but I'm afraid it will never really catch on at this point. Have you looked into Sierra Chart at all? It might have what you need.

The problem with these black & white statements like 'there are no developers' and 'no one uses MultiCharts .NET' is that they can easily be falsified. Even here on Futures.io there are at least two developers; @ABCTG and myself.

If you meant to say "I can't find a developer who has the time and interest in doing free work for me", then you might be right. But I'm not sure that's something specific to MultiCharts .NET; with other platforms there's also only a couple percent of all users that can be that generous with their time. Perhaps most people are simply too busy to take on extra work in their free time?
