Hello
Is there a way to persist stop or limit orders when using EasyLanguage in MultiCharts? e.g. in one of my strategies I send three orders at the close of the bar - a Buy/SellShort Market Order, a Sell/BuyToCover stop order (my stop loss) and a Sell/BuyToCover limit order (my take profit).
I'd like these stop and limit orders to persist past the next bar - instead of me having to process the market position and resubmit these orders, since I understand they are cancelled automatically by MC at the close of the next bar?
Is there a way to do this without using 'simulated' orders, i.e. orders that sit on my VPS - I'd like them actually sent to my broker as opposed to residing on my VPS and then sent as market orders once the price is hit?
Thanks.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Maybe you make a suggestion for me. A similar situation with an order in TS.
My order says: Buy next bar at high + 1 point stop;
One of the conditions for the buy is a high , lower high and a higher high. If my order is not filled because the next bar doesn't get to the high + 1 point but the following one does I don't get filled. How can I have the order at the price for the original high + 1 point to re-issue each bar until filled? (Or a new order is generated.) I can do that but my question is only how to reuse the prices of the order after next bar.
save the price you want to use for the entry into a variable and use this variable as order price. This will ensure the same price is used, until you change the variable again.
