I didnt find any new built in indicators on Cumulative Delta or Delta studies. Do we have to code them by ourself or will there be any in the release ?

MCDT beta is available today

zury View Post
Is there gonna be a beta of Multicharts Discretionary Trader for free usage as well? I guess this MC7 Beta is paid or trial only (the download is different from MCDT, 12 MB more).

Anyone figure out how to change the font on the DOM in MC7? It's terrible. And to make the dom taller/more rows? I can't find it anywhere. I don't want "text size", I want more rows.

I have troubles changing the font and colours of either Chart Trader pointers and DOM too.

As for changing the DOM rows ... see the attached picture.

Can anyone help me with wvap? I would like to test this indicator but I am not sure how to use it in MC... And I don't even know if the vwap reset in MC is the same thing as vwap in NT... Because in NT you can add period for vwap but in MC you have to enter times... Can you please help me to setup vwap in MC?

It is the same. Just enter and session begin and end time. If you don't want to exclude lunch, then all the times other than start time will be the same. You can also use 0000 to 2359 if your chart was built with the session template you want already.

Yes, I've been checking everyday.
I've downloaded and installed it but I'm having some issues.

1st Using the chart trader tool on the right, the drag and drop of the STP icon always gives me a BUY order not a Sell order. I've tried dragging under the current price but no difference. ie current price = 5950. Drag STP order button to 5930.
Confirmation box shows "Buy 1 ZM1 @5,930 Stop Market" Obviously it gets filled straight away because it's a Buy not Sell.
Or am I just having a seniors day with this software??

2nd Issue is I connect right click on the chart and select a Sell stop order as per NinjaTrader.
The above link says I can???

3rd The colors of the printed chart still look crap. How do I change them???

Neil.

Hi All,
The great support people (Dave) found the issue with Items 1&2 in the above. The futures contract had a incorrect expiry date on it.Changing it to the correct contract period made it all work beautifully.

Neil.

PS Did my first trade with MC7 today. I think I will be discontinuing my NT7 subscription soon.

If you mean a sim engine, that would simulate orders within the main application (like NT7 does), than the answer is NO (not yet).

But you can paper trade with MCDT if your broker allows opening your paper account. Your trades will be marked in the chart by MCDT, info about the trades will be stored in your brokers trade log (and MC looks up the trade information within your brokers trade log, in order to mark them in the chart).

Yes it does , i use IB paper trading login with MCDT

Doing some additional follow-up...

Both of you mention MCDT. Would the same be true for MC, the full version? I would tend to think so, but I'd like to be sure...

I find having a paper account to be an important part of my education. And I see where IB does indeed have such:

https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/p.php?f=tws&p1=papertrader

Apparently there were some recent changes to where users must use their accounts on one computer. That's not ideal, but workable for me.

I don't see any reference to MC on IB's website. IB users who want to use MC must source it themselves, correct? Whether that be the free version (MCDT) or purchased...

For those paper trading with IB, please share your impressions.

Are there other MC supported brokers that offer paper accounts? It seems that MB Trading might, but I'm not sure...
