So far (week or so of trial) I ve almost switched from NT7 to MCH :-), no problems at all, easy to get used to it.

What I am missing for my charting:
1) Hotkeys !
2) The WIDTH of non-solid lines (cannot be increased !?!)
3) No RAY tool in drawing tools. (ok this could be forgiven

I ve tried attaching some exit strategies to my orders, and maybe I got something wrong here, the exit was executed right after the entry so I have to look at that more thoroughly. How do I create my own exit strategies? Is it possible in the free version?

OK, really looking forward to beta and final (whats the release date again? ).

MC is a great platform and tried MCDT but crashed 2 times. i realize it still in alpha so it's acceptable.

on second thought .. If they r so great still wonder why MC not really focusing on supporting retail forex trader such as ecn , simulator and integration with good broker such as fxpro, dukacopy with jforex.

really confuse why they like and support FXCM very much..

sorry .. i just wonder why ...

In my experiece i found fxpro not so good ( I'm talking about more than an year and half ago). FXCM is suppurt also by other platforms, like SierraChart, I think cos is one of the biggest retail forex broker US based.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.

Does MC allow for a paper trading account? I'm currently of the understanding that it does not, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks much.

If you mean a sim engine, that would simulate orders within the main application (like NT7 does), than the answer is NO (not yet).

But you can paper trade with MCDT if your broker allows opening your paper account. Your trades will be marked in the chart by MCDT, info about the trades will be stored in your brokers trade log (and MC looks up the trade information within your brokers trade log, in order to mark them in the chart).

Thank you both. That is good to hear. I'm in the process of selecting a broker, and I'm not ready to begin live trading. I'm doing paper in TOS now, and I clearly need more practice and knowledge... I'll check again with the broker I'm contemplating to make sure my request is clear.

For a broker-provided MC, might there be any differences with respect to having a paper account or other aspects of MC offerings?

This is a question for Multichart representatives:

I ve been trying to use this setup:
1) ZEN FIRE data feed (NOT brokerage, just data source) - to feed my chart of Russel 2000 Mini
2) IB TWS connection (as brokerage platform receiving orders from MCDT)
3) MC chart trader for sending orders to IB and visualizing orders over the chart

My goal is to use quality data feed (IQFeed, Zen-Fire, etc.) just for charting, MC discretionary (chart) trader as a front-end (sending orders to brokers platform) and I want the orders visualized on the chart by MC.

But I cant make this happen. When the data source (ZenFire) is different from brokers feed (IB), creating an order doesnt do anything at all.

Is this even possible to achieve? Or am I doing something wrong? Am I wanting too much? Do you understand my question? :-D

Thanks for your time

Petr
