Marc,

I don't use IB so my only advice would be to contact MC support via live chat on their website so they can look at it, if you don't get an answer here.

I have been using MC since FEB. 2010.
2 things I have noticed:

1. I don't see near the amount of indicators, etc. as you see for software such as Ninjatrader

2. There seems to be a bug when I shut MC down and restart it.
All of my workspaces don't reappear as they should. I can open the workspace manually
but sometimes I have to also insert the charts and indicators.
Not a big deal though.

Has never happened to me, you've configured it to auto save your workspace on close and re-open on start?

Be sure you are giving it time to shut down, it writes data to the quote database after the main app 'closes' for a couple of seconds.

As I know only thru FIX protocol, requires a $100k account, and only real time feed, no historical data.

Ah bummer but you're right:

MultiCharts Project Management - Issue MC-38 - Feature request: MC integration with Dukascopy via JForex

Well, at least it's under review from the folks from MultiCharts, though 2 months no change to this ticket isn't very encouraging.

It seems there won't be a JForex integration in the near future. Can't post the link to the Dukascopy Discussion Thread at MC since I don't have 5 posts here yet. Search there for "ALMOST perfect integration of MC with Dukascopy"

I have tried their support forum to no avail. Maybe the live support is better... I am currently doing a complete reinstall. If that does not fix it then I will try their chat.

Hi, I have an MC 7 Alpha now - IQFeed data and IB broker. I am connected to paper trading from IB but my chart is created from iqfeed data. And the problem is when I enter position it shows itself in TWS but not in MC in my chart. So I think its because it is connected to IB data source but my chart is from IQfeed. How can I do it so I can see my trades on iqfeed chart using IB trade?

I have no experience with MC, but like other software, isn't there any symbol mapping?

Regards from Czech

Right now, symbol mapping works, but chart trading does not show the trades for mapped symbols. If you use an IB chart and trade on IB - the orders will be visible in the DOM (for the same symbol), on the chart, in TWS, and in the tracker. If you use an IQFeed chart and trade on IB, the orders will be visible in TWS and in the Tracker.

We are planning to improve this in upcoming releases, but one step at a time.

Thank you for your answer. But I must say I am quite disappointed from this...or maybe I am not. It depends - is this bug (I will call it bug ) on Alpha only or is it going to be even on beta public release? You say it will be repaired in upcoming releases but you don't say which one.
