Hi Mike

I'm making some tests with Bid/ask data , (esignal as data feed) i need to know if that i think is right about MC

1 open a new chart , set resolution 1 tick , quote field bid .
2 insert new symbol , same as above but quote field select ask
3 a lot of data
4 check T&S , selecting only bid or ask ( i do it open Esignal platform).

seems that we have the bid/ask updated ? what kind of resolution i don't know but time is minor that at the seconds.
if i'm right , we can build up an indicator as CVD or book pressure with historical data.

make this test with higher time resolution or time frame ,putting always the symbol as bid 'n ask, seems the sum of upticks and downtick ,represent the total of bid and ask , grouped through the resolution

What's your final thought of MC vs Ninja? Has it changed since you've started this thread?

MC seems to support Dukaskopy.

Assuming you are talking to me --- I am still very pleased with MC. I use it for all of my charting.

Yeah, I love the charts. Even the choice of the default background (RGB 51 51 51) is amazing. Grid on round numbers (hello Metatrader), I can't really wish for more^^. Easy to read numbers or candles.

I can't see bars on Scottrader's Streaming Quotes at all, they are too thin, and in MC I can widen them til they melt together

It's all small things, overall charting is great. Thank you for a quick response.

......

MC seems to support Dukaskopy.

As I know only thru FIX protocol, requires a $100k account, and only real time feed, no historical data.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.
Luke.

Ok, you just ruined my plans

Thanks for telling me this, I did not know I needed a special account for that and that there are limitations.

Be sure and give us your review at some point

Mike

Roger that. Downloaded the 30 day trial earlier today and will fire it up Monday--penny saved, penny earned . In the meantime will try to read the manual and find out something about EasyLanguage.

Have you since found a better tool for backtesting?
Thanks

Hi,

I currently have a massive problem with auto-trading and MultiCharts in combination with IQFeed and Interactive Brokers. Sometimes (mostly the first time) I enable auto-trading the mapping between the IQFeed and IB symbol is not been picked up and the symbol send to IB is @EU# - which means the first trade fails. If I then manually disable auto-trading and re-enable it. It usually works. Sometimes only after the second time. Which is extremely annoying since it means I miss out on many trades and I have to manually react.
I do not think it is the mapping, since it works the 2nd/3rd time I reconnect, but I attach a screenshot of mine.
Any help appreciated...

Marc

No. Also as my time has lessened these past few months, I've barely worked on anything on the automated side.
