I'm getting my feet wet with MCDT, so I ask out of ignorance, but is there a indeed a way to have alerts, namely via email? After searching (found nothing in this thread), it seems that it does exist, but maybe not in the free version? Thank you.

The set up is MC/IB demo auto tradeing FX. The signal on MC makes an entry and submits TP & SL. The MC order and position tracker displays the TP & SL have been sent, they show on the MC chart, they show on the IB chart, they show in IB orders, they show on the main IB contract page (see picture), but price keeps waltzing right through them. Is the demo TWS supposed to act on TP & SLs?
Thanks

Using MCDT + OEC, and both myself and friend have experienced the same issue.

We have noticed that we can trade just fine, from the chart or DOM. We then decide to close MCDT.

After a while, we re-open it and for some reason we are unable to take a position. This is even so with mkt orders. We are asked for confirmation (that option is selected), do so, yet no position is taken - apparently. I say that because after reopening MC a little later, we see (both of us), outstanding positions that were not there previously, or at least visible. It seems that orders were being taken, just not showing-up in the DOM, on the chart or in the New Order and Positions Tracking window...

Has anyone else experienced this oddity?

Later after re-opening MCDT, order entry works, meaning that we can see the orders and positions...

EDIT / ADD: This was experienced with MCDT Beta 1 and now with 7.0 Beta 2 (Build 43).

Testing of MC6/IB demo reveals the same issues as MC7 in my previous post. MC support suggested I email IB which I have but so far no reply. I've tested mini lots and standard lots, it doesn't make any difference. Has anyone auto traded anything with MC/IB?

Hi,

Can someone help me to figure out how to set up limit order in the DOM with stop.

I trade EURUSD with MB Trading and I like to place my order between the spread.

Right click on the price points of interest, and you should see those choices, and others. There are also the brackets below that I'm starting to learn myself...

I've never use limit orders before but since MB Trading paying for it I guess it would be a good idea to reduce cost of trading.

Hi Stem

I have been running an Auto trade strategy on IB with MC6 for a number of weeks now, but haven't experienced anything like you are discussing here.

Thanks for replying. If possible, I would like to compare configuration to find the error. My guess is that its probably in IB (I'm fairly new to IB) as the PT and SL are showing on both MC and IB, and MC support have gone over the MC end. What instrument are you trading?
