I just installed MC 7.4 that was sent to me via e-mail from a popular brokerage at futures.io (formerly BMT) (that I won't name). Two things: A) The installer said it was from an unknown publisher - should I be worried? B) After installation, I was told to upgrade to version 8.0. I go to the MC site and see version 8.5. Wondering why the broker gave me such an old version. Should I have just gotten the MC demo from their official website? That is, does it make any difference to me in the end that I got it from the brokerage?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
First of all you should contact MC support directly since you are talking about a broker that uses MC has the trading platform.
Is the 7.4 version the regular MC or the Discretionary Trader version? The DT version is the free version which is limited on some services. It does not allow editing and writing power language studies.
Also, take notice that the DT version was discontinued. If you are indeed using that version, if you update to the 8.5 version you will need to purchase it.
Again, I advise you contact MC support directly.
Go to their Contact page and click on Live Chat. You will talk with one of their staff member which will help you resolving all your issues.
