For those interested or who desire an options solution within MC, it went from hopeful to not going to happen. I brought it up again and it's being re-visited with mgt and the development at this time...

I'm not surprised. Options add so much more complexity. Especially if they try to add some kind of algo trading or backtesting. I would love to see this as well. Ended up having to write my own backtester.

How hard can it be to make a trading ticket and a greek calculator? People have made these tools in the equities side many times over. Code and designs are modular.

I think the industry made its own structural impediments to stunt development because option trading is not as commission intensive as futures trading. There's something on the back end that prevents developers from pusuing things further.

I doubt that is true, since brokerage firm TradeStation offers advanced option features (see here).
