Can I use Iqfeed with Multichart DT for my technical analysis and use the broker order entry platform because Mirus and optimus still have not find a solution to my connection issue.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Well, MCDT is discontinued and end of life. So they aren't supporting it any more.
Yes you can chart with one platform and execute with another. There is no reason it wouldn't work, especially if you are charting with a data feed and not your broker feed.
Some brokers limit concurrent logins to 1, so for instance if you tried to chart with Zen Fire and then load a separate platform to execute on Zen Fire, you would get an error message not allowing your login. You can easily get Mirus to increase the concurrent login limit so you could login simultaneously with both platforms.
But what you are describing will not have this issue.
Still, you might want to look at something like Sierra Chart which is practically free (or 100% free from some brokers like Velocity) so you could have a supported platform. I don't think I would be inclined to use a platform that has been discontinued with no support. That's a big investment on your part (time) that will never grow or expand.
