Any MC user using data provider in Taiwan/HK? I need some info about how to setup data provider into MC. I have already 2 data provider in Taiwan, but they user their own apps for trading, and I'm trying to move to MC and would like info on how to do this.

ps: I'm not trying to trade through MC, just trying to check/confirm the strategy using their data feed. Sorry I'm new to MC and I might be asking a dumb question.

We have authorized representatives in Taiwan (KWAY), South Korea (InvestWare) and China (ICE Technologies). You can find their contact information here - Contacts. I believe all three provide their own localized versions of the software and their own data feeds. Please contact the appropriate one.

Which two data providers are you currently using and what instruments are you trading ?

I'm working mainly with 2 brokers and they use their own platform for trading, I'm learning MC and would like to use it for trading. The brokers that I have right now are MasterLink (w w w. masterlink.com.tw) and Polaris (w w w . polaris.com.tw) At this moment I'm trading only stocks, learning options and future and trying to setup MC to trade those 2.

I think Polaris is part of Yuanta (元大), and I know they have a FIX engine and are more open to other platforms especially on the institutional side. The Taiwan stock and option markets have their own home grown systems that have to be translated to non Taiwanese standards.

Masterlink is a black hole for me.

MC does have a Universal DDE that you might look into given that there are real time feeds in the country. I haven't used their Universal DDE, so YMMV.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately DDE is out of my league at this time, I'm newbie to MC, so I'll just start slow and learn how to use it first.

In TW market, there are 3 ways you could try ....

First, order KWAY market data adapter www . multicharts . com . tw /WannaBuy.aspx

Second, try to use Touchance .. they have MC data adapter. www . touchance . com . tw

Or you could use a broker-customized (Yuanta or Capital) version of MC. multicharts . yuantafutures . com . tw www . capital . com . tw /multicharts

Thanks seanwang for your tips, I'll take a look at them. It seems it's better to work with US market instead of TW, right?

Hi All,

I am now using IB with MC to trade the HK stock market, but I am getting continuous problem with data feeding violation problem, and I contacted IB few times and seems it's there system policy for 2000 ticks limited and even money can't help to solve.

I will like to apply for other data feed service provider to trade the HK stock market with IB and MC, and one can recommend some?tks a lot!
