Thanks for sharing.

I am a MBT live account holder.

Started with Nav Pro to Ninja to MCDT. Hate Nav Pro and Ninja.

Ask on MC forum how to put a fix disaster stop in case of some unfortunate event happen and they say you have to attach stop every time you initiate an order.

I didnt apply for a second log in ID since so many thing you have to submit. Can you use MBT web for trade management?

Uh you can put a "disaster stop" by using the auto attach exit strategy option. Best one to use that I have found is either the bracket order strategy type or the master strategy type. It will automatically place an exit strategy when you enter.

Yes I use MBT Web for trade management. It is SLOOOOWWW sometimes so its not great but it works, instead of like telling you you can't login because your account is already in use (Navigator!)

thank you for this very helpful post and info. I too have considered using MCDT instead of NT for one thing it would save my $60 a month. But I really like the NT chart trader (I don't use the DOM) and I suppose I worry because MBDT is free and will this mean it is not as "good" or "stable" as the full version. Sort of "you get what you pay for" idea. Since I trade live and not demo this concerns me though it's probably a "me" problem not trusting MC:-)

Anyways these points are great helps as I finally settle on a combination..........

There is a paid for version of Multicharts you know if you are worried about the quality of the software, all due to price...

With MB Trading you can trade using 1k lots. That is pretty cheap to test out MC DT + MBT.

Yes I agree the 0.10c per lot will not break the bank...LOL and it does have the benefit of testing the combo in a live situation that in the end of the day is all that really matters. The one thing I think NT is good at is their Video helps I found these very easy to follow as I learned how to use chart trader. MC have a couple of pages on their chart trader and thay are helpful enough but I wish they had a more up to date video help section. I'm a bit slow at my fastest so the "follow the dots" approach helps my 1.5 cell brain power
