Hello Arnie,

The Multicharts customer service is closing tickets, without resolving them. I created this request MC-1129, about 6 months back for simulated trading engine WITH market replay option. Below is the URL for MARKET REPLAY option request for Multicharts MultiCharts Project Management - Issue MC-1129 - [AUTOLINK]Multicharts[/AUTOLINK]: Market Replay - Sim Broker of Stimulated Trading, which was closed today, without a resolution or an update from MC Customer service.

It got 14 votes for MARKET REPLAY option feature request (for Multicharts) in the past 6 months.
Today I got an email, stating that a ticket for MARKET REPLAY OPTION in MULTICHARTS, that I created 6 months back is closed, due a duplicate request MC-127: Data Window Header Background Color Option to Change, created a month ago.
Multicharts customer service is terrible due to following reasons.
1- They closed my ticket MC 1129 (created 6 months) back for MARKET REPLAY option in Multicharts, without resolving it (EVEN after 6 months)?
2- Also they are closing a 6 month old ticket, which has 14 VOTES, thus insulting the multicharts customer service voting option.

NINJATRADER is awesome and has spendid customer support, since it never closes 6 months old tickets, without resolving them, like Multicharts does.

Thanks,
Mohi

I advise you to contact them regarding this.
It's clearly an error. One ticker has nothing to do with the other.
It would not be the first time they would make such mistake, instead of closing one they close another.

There's a thread on the forum where they said they are developing market replay though they did not give any time table for it.

@mohi4u

This afternoon I went to take a look at PM to see what new requests have been posted and I saw that there's a market replay request prior to yours MC-362. So for sure your ticket was closed based on this one and not the other they mentioned. Like I said, it could only have been an error.

PM is a place where we as customers request features that we would like to have on MC. If they are going to be added to MC or not it's something that only MC management can answer.

I'm sure you agree that not everything requested if feasible to be added. Sometimes it's a structural problem regarding on how MC was built that prevents those features to be applied other times it's as basic as a cost problem. Users might be requesting something that MC management don't see enough request for it and because of it the development cost is not at that point in time acceptable.

This is not a MC problem, every software house suffers from this.
You've mentioned Ninja but they are no different from any other company. They do what they think it's better for them, in terms of profitability, in terms of applicability of a feature in relation to where the platform is at that moment...
Saying that NT it's better than MC or the other way around for me it's "BS". If they do what we want they are gods on earth but if they ignore us we start throwing rocks at them and accuse them of all evil in the world. We as humans have this unique characteristic

I see that they postpone the SIM "market replay" which saddens me because it's something I'd love to have but it's something that I need to respect. I might not agree with it but I respect it.
How many threads exists on futures.io (formerly BMT) about NT and the incapacity for them to store bid/ask data? If not for Gomi NT users would be stuck with only today's data. Did NT do anything to change that behavior in all the months version 7 is up? No! Why? Maybe because structurally speaking, NT had no capacity to do so, so they decided to postpone such feature to the next version. I don't know, I really know very little about NT but I know that they have their own problems like every other software house have.

We as customers have two choices, move to another platform or accept what it's being offered at the moment and wait for the next version, always requesting our features so they don't forget about us

And regarding MC's customer services, I couldn't be more in disagreement with you.
If there's something MC is good at, apart from their platform, is their customer service. Their live chat is something out of this world. They connect to your computer and work directly with MC seeing with their own eyes what is happening there when a problem or bug surges.
Also, these past months we have clearly seen more participation from them on the forum, helping with all sort of problems.
And last, never in this last version, 8.5, we have seen so many requests being added to the platform and many other already promised for version 9 because 8.5 was already on release candidate version and there was no time to test such features.

So the comment you made regarding their customer service I think it's really not fair.
