Mike or Stan could you post example of code where it show that market order avoid slippage.
I am using limit order to avoid slippage, and not marlet order.
My best

No, that makes no sense. Sorry. Limit orders = avoid slippage. Market orders = guarantee fills. Positive slippage can also occur on exit orders in a fast moving market.

I am using the free version of MultiCharts 9.1 with demo trading. This is my first time ever using MultiCharts. One thing I am having an issue with is it disconnects constantly every few minutes. I tried it on my home computer and on a vps...same thing. They said to disable my Firewall and virus protection...same thing....constant disconnects. This can be an issue when on a live account and you need to close a trade right away...You go to close trade and the platform disconnects...then it reconnects a minute later and price has already moved away. Does anyone else have this issue with the free version? I have yet another vps I will test it on with 6GB ram. My home pc is 10 GB ram and strong processor and good internet connection. But Multicharts 9.1 free version keeps disconnecting and reconnecting several times in an hour. (I will update this post if I figure out the problem or if it goes away.)

Would be happy top assist you with MC. First, what data are you using? Second, remember the live credentials are different that demo. We have both retail and CTAs who use it, and it does not experience the issues you are having.
Also, consider that if EL language is not a priority, you can use the MC. Net which is free.

You can PM me as well, and my tech team will assist.

Thank you. I am using the MC net free version. However I have a new VPS and installed MC on there, and the problem no longer exists with the disconnects.
