Can anyone help me understand if MC Market Scanner can filter a set of stocks for the following conditions:

(please don't supply me with the code...i need to learn it for myself)

1. Daily SMA20 moving up
2. Hourly SMA20 moving up
3. 10 minute RSI below a certain point
4. 10 minute Stochastic %D below a certain point

I know how to create studies, I know how to put studies into a market scanner, I know that I can set the 'resolution' for each stock in the grid, I know that it can do basic sorting with up to three columns

How can I get this thing to work like Ninja Trader market analyzer?? I want it to distill the list down to only my conditions and nothing more. Is this possible with MC Market Scanner??

Don't use the scanner myself but maybe @MultiCharts will see your post and reply.

Then plug the setup situations into an MC Scanner to notify you when the entry conditions are met.

In MultiCharts Real-time market scanner the indicator can be calculated only on one data series.
That means that you need to add an indicator for each condition for one data series.
You can allign the indicator output column alphabetically or ascending/descending order for all symbols or for groups of symbols in the Real-time market scanner window.

Hi -
Is it possible to create a watchlist in MC market scanner and then insert a strategy into the watchlist? Ideally I would like to see the ticker in Column A, and then Column B notifying me if that particular ticker is long or short for the inserted strategy?

Thanks

msbullpen,

if you want it trade from the Scanner too you can only do this in MC.NET. If you are simply interested in seeing if the signal for the particular symbol would be long/short then you can convert the signal logic into an indicator.
This way you can use the plot reserved words to display the status of the signal.

thats very helpful thank you. one additional question. are there any ways to optimize parameters on a strategy without doing it through the charts? in other words if I were to create an indicator as you described in the Watchlist Scanner to pull in the current signal, can I run optimizations on Instruments through it? Thanks

I am afraid, but this won't work as the optimizer in MC handles strategies only.

I have exactly the same question?
ShruggedAtlas did you get this to work to your satisfaction? if so how did you get this to work and is there a thread with more info on this or where can I find more info on this?

What does MC mean with "one data serie"? Is GBPUSD on 3 time frames (15M, 60M and Daily) three data series?

Thanks
