Welcome to

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

@ericbrown i've finally decided to give the iqfeed docker a go and so far it works great. It's incredibly stable compared to just running iqfeed+wine like I have been up to this point.

One question though (showing my noobness), do you stop docker-iqfeed? I have it running in a terminal window so I have the iqfeed heartbeat printing. But I have no idea how to disconnect from iqfeed and stop the docker from within the terminal where it is running.

I've tried running docker stop, but I need the container id. Im not sure how to get that.

Just saw this - wish I had seen it earlier but we went back and forth via IM's so I think you found your answer.

For the rest of the folks, you can use docker ps to see your running containers and get the id.

Docker info

I just started looking at and playing with Docker and saw this link and thought this might be a good place to put it.
