Integrating NT (historical/live data) into Matlab

Hello,

While my ambitions with MATLAB is quite large, I'd like to begin by learning a simple function of how to automatically pull my historical data from NinjaTrader and pull live data through a Kinetick datafeed into MATLAB.

Ultimately that data will be read and manipulated within MATLAB for testing. Eventually, I will want to send it back to NT with possible trade executions. For now however, I just want to pull in my data

So my question is where should I begin? I've searched through the forums here and other resources on the web however nothing really provided stepping stones into accomplishing this goal.

Thanks for the help!

Check here:

It contains sample code for NT and Matlab communication.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.

Thank you Mike. I did find that thread and tried to make as much sense of it as I could. I got stuck at adding the Matlab bridge into the NT dll references.

I'll need to do more homework!

Just post in that thread if you aren't able to figure it out, and someone will likely help.
