Welcome to

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

The DDE functionality in MD allows a cell in Excel to grab any single piece of information about a symbol: the high of the day of AAPL, the cumulative delta of ES, the VPOC of NQ, etc. In general, this is accomplished by setting up a custom indicator to record it's current value into a V#, and then grabbing the V# in the excel cell. For an indicator such as the FPPS indicator, which has a variable array of prices (which are impossible to predict before they are realized), there is just no such mechanism in place transfer such data to Excel. I'm not saying it's impossible to do so (may be), and it's not because we have a "limitation about complex programming" (I think our past proves otherwise), it's just that we have other projects with higher priority that we are certain and clear about how to accomplish, and of their value once completed.

ok...many thanks for the solution is create a Custom Software to communicate directly with the datafeed (in my case IQfeed) and create a custom FootPrint....or I have to use NT or Multichart for make a custom footprint. Many thanks for now
