Drawing Tool Toolbar V3.5 NT8b11

Critical fix V3.5. Please remove all previous versions from your charts before installing, then reboot NT8.

*As of NT8 beta 11 this is functional but may need updating in the future. So please be patient. The toolbar still has minor bugs (see ** section at the bottom) so please recheck here for new updates from time to time. Please let me know if you are having any unusual issues, since it is working for most users. Since we are all still learning the intricacies of NT8 , this toolbar is a project in progress

Make sure you extract the zip file first or it won't import! When you download the zip file it will still be named V1....this is a forum issue....but you will find the updated version inside. Inside you will find instructions and icons to use. Read the instructions carefully or you will have icons missing etc.

Displays functioning drawing tool icons on the left of the chart.

* Accesses drawing tools via hot keys.

* The user can select which drawing tool icons are to be displayed.

* Set icon size from small to large.

* Appropriate drawing tools have a drop-down color palette.

* Toolbar width automatically adjusts to the height of the chart to accommodate the icons.

* If you can code: You can add your own custom drawing tools with comments to help you with insertion.

Coding examples:

* Multi-dimensional arrays
* Working with grids/wrap panels
* Windows and NT8 menus
* Adding bitmap images to a menu
* Using virtual keystrokes to activate hot keys
* Accessing drawn objects and manipulating their properties.
* Parsing string values

Version 2 is also included. It is now superseded by V3 but included for code examples using buttons instead of menus.

A big thank you to Chelsea Bell @ NinjaTrader for the toolbar structure sample. This toolbar had to be completely re-engineered for Windows Presentation Foundation.

Update history and potential problems:

Update V3.5 July 1 - Critical Fix: Fixed some termination issues from V3.3.

Update V3.4 June 26 - Stopped the toolbar from hijacking indicator-created drawing objects.

Update V3.3 Fixed Andrews Pitchfork channel colors.
Added complete removal of objects upon termination.

** Known issues reported, which I will endeavor to fix:

1. Issues with tabbed charts. Toolbar replicates itself when using tabbed charts.
2. Drawing tools will not change color on a tabbed (behind) chart.
3. Arc will not custom paint an area color. (Probably NT8 bug).

Exported with NT 7.0.0.17

an alternative to the native Data Box or the Mini Data box dsDataBox displays the OHLC in the tool strip of the chart. Can be edited to include custom information like volume etc. It uses many non supported stuffs so do take care on that.

Dual Bollinger Band_V4 - BBand2_V4

Notice:

There has been a performance upgrade made to this indicator contributed by @Zondor (thank you) and uploaded on 8/22/2014 at 11:00 PM PDT. Before installing this update the old version must be removed. It is not a critical change and although the upgrade is suggested it may be skipped. No other enhancements are included.

This is an enhancement to the BBand2_V3 to address the performance issue raised by @Zondor in the previous release It also includes several other enhancements as described below. More descriptions can be found in the original V3 post below.

This indicator has been exported with Ninja Trader 7.0.1000.22.

1. The code base used for this version to solve the performance issues was the BollingerUniversal indicator written by @FatTails.
2. Three different modes are available, Universal, BBand2, BBand2DPO.

Universal Mode will allow the indicator to operate and appear the same as anaBollingerUniversal.

BBand2 and BBand2DPO work like BBand2_V3 with the exceptions as described starting in number 3.

BBand2 and BBand2DPO mode

3. All of the MA options in Universal mode are available.
4. The Universal MA color scheme can be used including the coloring of the candles (a separate option). If this option set to false the BBand2 colors are used for both modes, with the exception of the swapping of the touch regions colors which are swapped as before.
5. The dark background option is no longer supported
6. The touch region painting can be set to signal on either a wick or candle body touch. Note: This is not significant for non-time based charts on entry to a zone as there is no wick, however it could be significant on exit if the there is a tail.
7. A threshold can be specified for how many ticks the candle (or wick) must penetrate (or remain in) the zone before the touch region is painted (or painting is stopped) as shown in screen shot.
8. The candle direction (up/down) must match the zone being entered before the touch region is painted (as shown in screen shot). Options 6-8 are intended to reduce the number of false signals on entry or give an early warning (6 & 7) of a potential exit from a zone.
9. The mid-line is the same style for both modes.
10. The signal line is now available in BBand2DPO mode.
11. There are individual parameters to specify the standard deviation for each mode

This is an enhancement to the BBand2_V2 with color indicator which was revised by @trendwaves and written by an unnamed author. The indicator was revised to serve two different uses, as follows:

When used as the basic BBand2 indicator the following revisions were made:

1. Eliminated redundant MA calculations.
2. Added the ability to control the displaying of the inner and outer MA lines without altering Plot parameters.
3. Added the ability to turn off the region band filling (except for the touch display).
4. Added several other MA choices. The selected MA is applied to the mid, inner, and outer bands.
5. Added an optional VWMA signal line.
6. A dark background option that alters the region color and opacity to allow for better visibility when used with dark backgrounds.

The second purpose is when it is used in conjunction with 2 instances of the DetrendedPriceOscillator (DPO) posted separately.

Using this option (DPOUse set to �true�) does not change any of the BB formulas however, it changes both the parameters used in them and the visual aspects of the BBand2_V3 indicator as follows:

1. Signal line is disabled
2. The display aspects of the middle MA are de-emphasized ( a thin, dashed, light gray line)
3. The inner to outer band region painting is disabled
4. The DPO standard deviation values are used instead of the normal BB values.
5. The inner and outer band touch colors are swapped.
6. The alarms have been disabled

Notes:
1. This option was not designed to switch back and forth between the two modes but only to allow for quickly setting up the BB2 indicator for use with the DPO indicators.
2. Any other two band BB indicators can be used with the DPO indicators. The inner and outer standard deviations should be set to 1 and 3 respectively.

The DetrendedPriceOscillator (DPO) has also been updated to be in sync with this indicator. More information is available in the DPO_V2 post.

DuplicateBars

Ever wanted to add a second "chart" with a second series of identical Price Bars right below the main panel? Now, you can with the Duplicate Bars indicator. This allows you to view a whole new set of Price Bar-based indicators perfectly aligned with your first set. An inverse function has been added for special situations, as well, such as currency futures that trade in an opposite fashion from their spot pairs.

Instructions: Add the Duplicate Bars indicator to your chart like any other indicator (name: rDuplicateBars). The indicator settings allow you to choose colors for your Price Bars. Now add whatever additional indicators you want to display in the usual manner to the chart, BUT make sure their panel number (in the parameters section) is set to the same panel number as the Duplicate Bars indicator.

DValue Area Profile Indicator

This is a conversion of the DValueArea developed by Ben L. and originally coded for the NinjaTrader 7 platform by DeanV. I found it on the Ninjatrader Support Forum, converted by Ninjatrader Support.

It shows the developing value area and POC, also pre-session. Profile types are VOC, TPO, VWTPO and VTPO. You have the option of showing a realtime POC.

dValueArea v 2.3 with new dynamic PVP/POC plot

DeanV on the NT forum recently posted this new edition which features ability to plot dynamic PVP, i.e. it shows when the PVP/POC 'flipped' during any session. Works live but also on historical charts which is a godsend for review work.

Attached pic has a few extra things on it, but the dynamic PVP is the red hash plot. (The magenta bands are from the new hVWAP and are different from the dValueArea indicator. Also there are other bands there that are different too.)
Note: my version in the chart has some different colors from the one uploaded which is the original from Deanv.

Dynamic Fib Lines

This is an indie that plots dynamic fib lines on the chart. It is courtesy of https://www.coiledmarkets.com/ They gave me permission to share it here on the site.

Basically, in real time, the key fib levels are plotted. It is similar to the BigMike's FibEnvelope but it only changes if a new high/low is made, otherwise the fib lines remain flat.

I use it for possible chop identification and in theory, possible targets for intrafib trades. Once prices close and hold below/above extreme fib lines, a possible mega bearish/bullish run is in the works. Not always, but it is a good signal to perhaps look for bigger runs.

I use it on NT7, not sure if it works on 6.5 or not.

Works on any range chart, time based chart, volume or tick chart.

Includes plots for HOD and LOD.

This indie requires a restart of Ninja.

The indicator shows up in the indicator window as "MyDynamicPivots" NOT Dynamic Fib Lines.
