TWO MA Crossover with User Selectable INDIVIDUAL MAs, Alerts and Arrows - V1.4 5 *
This is an update to the original I posted HERE. I am not updating as I want it to remain in the 'elite downloads.'

This indicator simply allows the user to choose between several MA types INDIVIDUALLY, for each Moving Average, and input periods.

The user also has the option to enable alerts or arrows.

---UPDATE 6Oct2011----- a few hours after initial upload
Someone requested to be able to INDIVIDUALLY select price type for each Moving Average Independent of each other. So that functionality is now there.

---UPDATE 7Oct2011-----
By request, added:
  • LLMA
  • LinReg

---UPDATE 7Oct2011 #2-----
Fixed a bug for the LLMA and LinReg

This Indicator rules!!! why??!! it lets you choose any indicator you want to look for Divergence with price, you just have to go to indicator window, select the indicator and go to "Imput Series" and choose any indicator you want to look for divergence.

Bollinger Bands in multiple timeframes 5 *
The BB's are based on a 20 SMA and 3x multiples thereof: 20 (green), 60 (blue), 180 (red), 540 (White or Black). They create natural SR levels since they are based on the statistical distance from the SMA.

A BB Cluster is when two or more outer BBs are synchronous... the more the stronger; the higher the TF, the stronger; the longer the chart TF, the stronger.

Good for seeing trend (or not); good for seeing possible SR (support/resistance); good for deciding when to exit (hint... HVS - high volume spike - on a 30 sec chart and price goes outside the bands on whatever TF you are watching... drop all but one and wait for the PB).

NWT MA Combo - Ver 2

One of the annoying things with MC is it's non industry standard naming of MA's and easy changing of MA types on a chart.
To change the MA type on a chart, you need to delete the first study and then pick the new one from the list of studies.
When trying to find a MA that best fits the prices, it can be somewhat difficult and or tedious.
So I have created one indicator (study) called "NWT MA Combo", this has up to 5 displayable MA averages built in. Each of these moving averages can be differnt MA types ie SMA, EMA, WMA etc and all at different periods ie a 20 MA, a 50MA etc.
In the attached picture. One indicator ( Study) has been added to the chart. This then displays 5 MA on the chart.
Possible MA types are -
  • "S" or "s" = Simple
  • "E" or "e" = Exponential
  • "W" or "w" = Weighted
  • "T" or "t" = Tema
  • "Z" or "z" = ZeroLag
Price types are the usual -

  • Open or O, High or H, Low or L, Close or C
  • Or a mathmetical type ie "(H+L+C)/3" - average price
If you don't want to use a MA then set's it's length to 0 (Zero) and it will not display. The Type and Price can stay set, just the length set to 0.

Neil.

TMFT Dual MA 5 *
ThatManFromTexas (I lived in Texas for four years, too!) created this useful indicator that colors the region between two moving averages.
I applied extremely aggressive optimization techniques that should reduce the CPU cycles on COBC false by 90% or more compared to the original version. I used every trick I could think of: moving code that was executing on every tick to OnStartUp(), using predefined instances of the external indicators, and redundant tick rejection. If you select EMA's, they will be calculated within the indicator, without any need to use an instance of the EMA class.
This is provided as a protected assembly. I don't have to give away all of my secrets, do I?
Why do this? Optimally coded indicators load faster, and use less computer resources while running. CPU cycles are not free. Using less of them makes Ninjatrader more responsive and reliable. Charts load faster, and lag less in fast markets. Crashes and freezes become less frequent.
Have you noticed how quickly this indicator loads, and how responsive it is? Please leave comments regarding your experience with this version. Maybe some day ALL of your indicators can be coded like this.....
