Risk Reward V2.1 5 *
Exported using NT Version 7.0.1000.14

Risk Reward and Position Sizing Indicator V2.1 (based on original work of Mompere)

Calculates Risk/Reward and Position Sizing for trade planning using horizontal lines drawn at potential trade Entry, Stop and Target. The indicator will automatically update the risk/reward and position sizing on the fly when you select and drag the Entry, Stop, and Target lines.

Position size and risk/reward can be calculated from user input parameters for Trading Account Size, Percent Account Risk per trade, Fixed Dollar Amount per trade, or Fixed Share Sizing.

Click on the "$$" button to display/hide the Risk/Reward analysis.

Now supports dynamic pip value calculation for FX trade position sizing. Works for most cross-pair except for those very exotic cross pair.

Revision:
Jul 29 2013 (ckkoh): 1) Improved position sizing calculation for FX. 2) Enhanced reward risk calculation that includes spread. 3) Customizable line colors. 4) Reduced CPU utilization. 5) Display actual Buy price for Short position.
Mar 29 2012 (ckkoh): 1) Added a button to display/hide Risk Reward analysis. 2) Enhanced the Position sizing to support FX Lots type.

Great tool - but a few updates would be greatly appreciated

Don't see the show hide button or the $$ button

Also the thing keeps defaulting the entry to a white line - everytime i change something on the chart - drives those of us who use a white background crazy - I updated default but if i add remove it goes back to white - also when the price is touched it goes back to white - arghhh - can you change the color or allow the colors to be set in the indicator itself where the settings can be saved? - white is rather challenging

It seems to lock the price a lot requiring a lot of right click properties unlock

How do the first four parameters work - will it pick the least of size/%/$$?

can you explain the readout
i.e. tgt .78R 7 T $88
Stp 9T $113

guess is size @ price
RiskReward Ratio is R - T is Ticks, P/L is $

Finally a tool which I wanted since a long time, calculating RR is in my opinion the most important aspect of trading.

Why is it that I see the most ridiculous indicators over and over again, but never a small piece of software that allows you to calculate your RR? (and yes I use MTP), but use other software as well.

Correct MM (risk and correct sizing) keeps you in this business. Not fancy color bars/indicators.

I give this indicator five stars although there is some room for improvement, the horizontal lines should be made sizable, dash, cross....

Also I noticed some discrepancies on futures charts, I would like to know if this indicator can be used for all the futures families? Also the above comments are worthwhile to be answered.

Congratulations!

Amazing, so b.. useful. Just a comment, would be nice to explain a bit how it works, took me about 15 minutes! But it works fantastic, and the most useful tool for me is how it calculates how many lots depending on max loss acceptable. Thanks again.
