EMASlopeBands 5 *
I added bands to the EMASlope indicator. The bands are calculated from the volatility of the candles. The user sets a multiplier for the bands. In this pic the EMA is set to 34 and the multiplier is set to 1.57 (Pi/2). You can see that in the churn areas, the price stays within the channels of the bands until it breaks out.

Features:
Set the color of EMA and Bands according to slope (30 and 60 degrees in pic)
You can color the background according to the slope of the EMA (shown at 20% opacity).
The distance (ticks) from top band to bottom band is displayed on the screen.
Button on axis to hide the plots, allowing several EMA with different periods to show or not.
EMA Period and Band multiplier shown in button. Title shows EMA period with indie name.

R1: 3/10/21: Added margin label font size control to user panel per request from JC195461.
R2: 2/28/2022: I normalized Bands to accommodate fractional TickSize.

Trade Well...

Hi Bob C,
Thanks for the excellent work. Is there a way to get the EMA plot line to paint in front of the candlestick bodies and wicks?

Thanks again!

Hello Bob,

Your recent webinar "Your Charts should speak to you" was very helpful to me!!
Bob, would you be so kind as to send me the StochPACDlite indicator in a zip file for NT8?

Thank you so much!

PS: How could I join your group?

Another question, do you Trade the YM because that is where the biggest "Fish" are (and it moves)? Also, I trade 2 contracts and would like to have some sage advice for an initial Profit 1 (then stop moves up to break even) and then a runner where the stop follows 5 points behind.

Thank you,

Jeff

@JC185461, Thanks for the kind words on the webinar.... I hope that it helps...My style is different that some.... but it speaks to me and my wants and needs.....

@jammdou To get the indie to change in the stack of items on your chart, single click on the indie on the chart, hold down the shift key and use your mouse scroll wheel to change the ZOrder stack. The place on the stack is shown on the chart and is called 'ZOrder'. You can read about ZOrder in the NT Language Reference by hitting f1 while your mouse is on a chart and search for ZOrder

Thanks, and Trade Well
Bob

@jammdou To set the "ZOrder" of an indicator on the chart, highlight (single click) the indicator that you want to move up or down in the stack of items on the chart. Once highlighted, hold the Shift key and use the roller on your mouse to change the order of the stack. There will be a display of the order and you will see the order change as you move the roller..
