Transporting a 5 MB hard drive seemed like a serious job back in 1956.

Its very funny, its also very telling.

I ones bought casio DW5600 just because someone said it had more computing power than what we used to send people to moon

I know the feeling - I bought Casio 32Kb organiser (probably ~2002) which was about size of the smartphone, just a bit heavier and poor LCD display.
Compare this to average phone having today 128GB...

Well, in the 70's in High School (probably in NASA as well) we used the slide ruler - but please do not ask me today what is the difference between Log or Ln or even what the logarithm is!
At the final exams we were allowed to use only 5 function calculator.

If you want a funny comparison in this (funny) thread with that technology:

That Fortran is still our technology today for flights and space travel, compared to Core i7s and i9s to UFOs who can travel galaxies.
