Does anyone trade the 6A or M6A?

Looks like the M6A has almost nothing in volume, but the 6A seems liquid?

Guys, I'm happy to report that the volume on the NK yen contract from SGX has increased greatly since the decline started a few weeks back. The market is quite thick and very trade able at the moment. Lots of icebergs, spoofs and the regular games as well.

xiaosi, seeing your location in mainland whats your take on csi 300 futures?

i've been eyeing for chinese futures market for a while because of the volatility and decent liquidity (avg daily vol > 300k) in asian time zone, too bad it is not opened for foreign investor yet unless you have access to institutional brokerage (like newedge) and setting your own llc in mainland if im not mistaken. have been bookmarking nanhua futures for a while but not sure yet...

A few months back i measured the spread between all the micros. Everything was horrid execpt M6E. expect like 3+ tick spreads on the regular basis. sometimes more and very little size at each level with less than 10 contracts on the inside.

I have been checking it occasionally over the last few weeks and agree - horrific volume and spread.

Trey, I notice you are in Korea, do you ever trade their markets?

actually I was going to mention the chinese A50 futures.... It is a great contract(Phillips futures offers it for US clients).... I trade that and the KOSPI contract exclusively during the Pac-asia hours....

Thanks FXWulf, I had never looked at the KOSPI, but after a quick scan it seems quite interesting. I will investigate, as well as the A50 futures, though not sure IB carries them.

Anything odd to look out for?

KOSPI is a good market, a lot of people trade that. They do have different margin requirements and exchange structure which is just something you have to deal with but its a solid market. I have not seriously traded it but I know a few traders that are doing quite well in it.

In other Asian markets, the Chinese commodity markets are pretty interesting. I have been investigating those myself.

Wag

I think i read you trade through IB? I believe they offer the A50 under something like XINA50 or something similar

It coincides about 95% with the csi300.... great moves, liquid, and obviously moves during the pac-asian markets if you want to day trade it...

It is very comparable to the NQ futures (5$ usd per tick) and has very very small margin requirements especially compared the the much fatter KOSPI contract.

Actually i think even deepdiscountbrokers offers the A50.... check em out

If you have a way of going with a South Korean broker the KOSPI margins are very very reasonable.... might take a flight out there and some "financial shuffling" if you are a US trader that wants to get those margins on the KOSPI... The kospi( particularly its options), are the most heavily traded instrument in the world, the futures are actually built off of the options markets.
