Hello,
I day trade ES. I came across the NYSE market internals called $ADD (Advance/Decline) and $TICK. What's the difference between these two. Both say difference between advancing/upticking conracts and declining/lowticking contracts.
Can someone explain?
thanks

ADD:
Measures the difference of advancing stocks on the NYSE minus declining stocks on the NYSE.
Advancing means: above its previous session's close.
Declining means: below its previous session's close.

TICK:
Measures the number of stocks ticking up minus stocks ticking down on the NYSE.
