The system i've been developing for three years looks viable, but only if the TF can be played in addition to oil and the euro.

I'll be scalping a 4 tick range bar chart; volume per candle can very often be under 50.

Appreciate any feedback as to how many contracts i can expect to trade and still obtain immediate fills.

Thanks so much for your time.

I'm all over the map but on numbers of lots but I'm not trying to fill 50 at a time...I've experienced problems on occasion getting filled on as little as three. Depends on where your fills are mostly, if you are picking exact turn around points as I do fairly often (it's true...)you can run into this. if leave some room you should get 10 or so without a problem. it also depends on conditions as you are undoubtedly aware...time of day, where you are in the queue, etc...

Kbit,

I have started to read your journal and I'd like to ask a few questions:

-What are the main differences with the Emini SP 500 ( For example there are more volatility and the market is less than the ES)
- Which website you used to see the news on TF? (I use forexfactory.com to see the news about the ES)

I appreciate your time and your help.

I use the forexfactory calendar as well.

The TF is smoother trading...that is to say it isn't as choppy as the ES. The ES makes my head spin with all the back and forth action, that's not to say that the TF doesn't have some chop but not all stinking day long like the ES and the TF has cleaner moves in general.
I do trade the ES on occasion but prefer the TF, it just "fits" me better if that makes any sense.
I would also mention that the chart types I use work better with the TF, gives me a better picture of what is going on.

I personally think the back-and-forth of ES is what makes it easier to read and trade. Need to find what works best for you and stick with it.

Looking for 1231.6 Possible it gets to the 41/42 area first.
Beyond that not sure yet.

Been noticing the spread widening up to maybe four ticks and certainly two fairly frequently and I'm not talking about just the last couple days.
I am not sure what to make of it....Maybe this upcoming NFP will have a (more)significant impact and more people than usual are on the sidelines.
Could be a huge move coming up.
