ich habe das sehr gute Buch "Quantitative Investing" von Fred Piard gelesen und habe mal nachgeforscht, wie das hier in D umzusetzen ist. Musste leider feststellen, dass die in dem Buch gehandelten äußerst liquiden US-ETF's in Deutschland mit einer "Strafsteuer" belegt werden, da diese ihre steuerlichen Details nicht im Bundesanzeiger veröffentlichen. Die steuerliche Behandlung pro ETF ist sehr unterschiedlich (Ausschüttend oder Thesaurierend, Heimatland). Es gibt einige ETF's mit anderen "Stammsitzen" die die gleichen Märkte abbilden. Ich glaube aber, das diese deutlich illiquider sind und es bestimmt auch etwas schwerer ist, verlässliche historische Kurse zu bekommen. Es ist klar, dass man Piard's Strategien komplett neu mit diesen ETF's durchtesten muss. Wenn man keine vergleichbaren ETFs (mit einfacher Besteuerung, gleiche Märkte, Liquide, Kurshistore vorhanden) macht die ganze Arbeit aber keinen Sinn. Eigentlich sehr blöd, dass die Ami's nicht einfach ihre Besteuerungsberechnungen (teilweise sehr einfach) nach D durchreichen.

Hat sich jemand schon mal mit dem ETF Thema befasst und kennt einen guten Broker oder weiß praktische Ratschläge zur ETF Auswahl?

Es gibt da verschiedene ETF Finder z.B. hier etf-finder

Das Fondsvolumen sollte >= 50 Mio sein

Es gibt dazu auch noch Videos im Netz.

Achso, ETFs können bei interactivebrokers gehandelt werden.
