Im new to futures.io (formerly BMT), just wondering if any of you are or have experienced charts not updating
in Ninja Chart Trader using Interactive Brokers?

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If you leave Ninja up overnight, right click the chart, select Format Data Series, and make sure the "last date" on bottom right is today not yesterday.
What will happen & seems only on ETF'S is that the chart will plot along & then freeze up.
Bertrand admits @ Ninja they have seen this on there end and assured a fix is in the works for NT-7. But I just trying find out if anybody else has had this problem and has a solution
I never had a problem with ninja trader and interactive brokers, and I seriously trade ETF's ALL DAY long on that platform....but then again I constantly switch my instruments in and out - I don't keep all charts going at same time..could be bandwidth, could be your computer - sometimes it helps just to reload the chart with different times to test what it could be
I'm not alone to have this bug , alleluia !!!
Same issue, with european and US stocks: no problem, at the same moment, for futures/forex charts, but after a random delay, stocks/ETF charts are frozen.
This is definitivly a NT problem, for debugging I opened another trading software on the same IB datafeed (QuoteTracker), and only NT has frozen charts.
I also asked NT support for this, that was in sep 08:
Solutions found:
- don't use Ninja
- stop trade stocks/ETF and go Futures
- reload data manually every 30 seconds
So in fact, no real solutions for Ninja/IB/Stocks...
Thanks all. I recently Integrated Esignal for the data feed to drive IB & Ninja, works beautifully now the way it should be. Definitely worth the extra $90.00 per month. A deal that is arranged between Ninja & Esignal. I'm glad I found this to be a solution as I like Ninja's charting & Strategy capabilities along with the lighting fast execution & very low commission structure of IB!
No you are not the only one ... count me in too. NT+IB with ETFs is not 100% solid.
If I have a mech system running I now make sure to have a look at 9.30 US time if the chart refreshes. At times the ETFs just won't start refreshing on the charts.... and the strategy of course also just sits doing nothing.
If it does not refresh, the only thing that helps with me is to build a new chart from scratch.
Have not found any cause yet .... and NT only suggested the standard things and canned answers.
But still better than trying NT to work with TDA ... that will lock NT altogether once a week and at times freezes the whole computer.
