You may not know this, but 50% of the members on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) are from outside the United States. This means a large number of them do not speak English as their native language, though most can read and write English pretty well if they are traders.
When I first started this forum in June 2009 I did so to help traders, and to allow traders to help each other. The driving premise of the site is "Pay it forward", encouraging each individual member to help another member. In the end, everyone gets the help they are looking for.
For the past several weeks I've been working with the Moderators and about a dozen of the most active members of nexusfi.com (formerly BMT). What I wanted to do is come up with a new section of subforums that will encourage all traders to feel at home on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT), regardless of what language they speak (or write). It makes sense that communicating with your peers would work best in your native language, after all!
So today I am proud to announce that we've created a small number of new forums. These new subforums will be located under a new category heading of "Team Trading" on the main home page of the site. The subforums we've added here are broken down by language. It isn't possible to include all written languages, so I've tried to select the most popular and appropriate languages for nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) members. As of this post, that list is:
You'll notice that English is not on the list. The entire site is English only with exception to these newly created subforums, where the native language is not only permitted but encouraged.
If you are fluent in any of these languages please do me a favor and send me a private message. I need some extra help from the nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) community to moderate these non-English forums to make sure their post content falls within our guidelines.
I have set the auto notification of new threads on the home page to exclude these new forums, just to keep the English-only structure of the forum intact.
Please share any feedback, and more importantly, start some new threads in these new subforums to better socialize with traders!
Yes, I will create it but am going to wait to see if anyone else steps forward with another popular language that I have missed --- I can't have them all, they need to be widely used -- as adding them takes a lot of time.
Great stuff!!! If you need any help I can help you with Russian. I can write in Russian, but i do not have Russian key board on my system. If you need to translate something please let me know. BTW Google translation in the Russian page is not very good. But better then nothing.
You will find that most Russian traders are able to read and write in English very well
Great effort on your part to get us all together. Thank you!!!
I will see what I can do, but if you use Chrome it is built-in. If you use Firefox, there are many extensions you can download to make it "almost" built-in.
Dutch...........23 million people in The Netherlands, Suriname and Flanders + 6 million South African’s (they speak a kind of Dutch). And the main reason; my English isn’t good
I would be utilizing a Dutch sub forum if it was present.
However, I have no idea if there would be a substantial demand for this within this community.
