Trying to post image via link "post a funny pic thread", it returns with error Was trying to post this link, removing [img] brackets to post here. "https://www.dumpaday.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/funny-service-station-fails-13.jpg"

There remains an issue caching externally hosted images within posts. For now, the image will appear if the destination is reachable, but is not getting cached to our server.

I have adjusted the textbox input size of many pages, like new post, edit post, new reply -- so that the text box is much larger.

However, it will take up-to 3 days for my changes to be reflected to everyone due to caching. I will also work to make that not happen for future changes, but can only do so much at once...

As mentioned, dark version will be rolled out once we stabalize the light theme.

If you want changes to the light theme, I am going to need feedback that is actionable. In other words, you need to be specific.

Question:

After quoting a reply and submitting, the site returns to your new post.

It could be improved on by returning to the post where you left off, which is the one you quoted.

Since this would be a change in behavior, I would like to solicit feedback before implementing.

I'm not sure I would like this.

You are right that it would put you back where you were, so the next post in line for you to read would be next up, if there were several. But I usually want to look at the new post once it's posted, and I may give it a last check-over and sometimes change something. If it automatically went back to the originally quoted post that opportunity is not there (I always do a Preview Post too, but I always want to see the actual final version.)

The way it is now, if I want to go back, I can always easily go back to the original post by clicking on the user's name in the box that is shown in the left upper corner, which I think answers that need.

Edit: By the way, I just saw a typo after I had posted the above, and I went in and fixed it. I didn't see in Preview.

The way to make sure I never have to review the final post is to make sure I never make dumb mistakes, but that isn't gong to happen.

No matter what I am writing, no matter what it is, I always look at what I think is the final version and proofread it one last time. Often I catch things then.
