Live topic has white font color on the dark theme. live topic @Renkotrader The link to this thread, printed in bold and caps, was sitting at the top of Chatbox for the last three weeks. I agree that the new design is a bit bloated (lots of padding), but the readability I find is multiple times better compared to the old design, in both light/dark theme.

Ah, okay, I did not recognized its. I thought, this is only an informtion - not for click on its.

all my previous posts before this one are now very difficult to read:
title is smaller than bold text in the body.
Flaws:
• Thanks @ the bottom are no longer to see: white on white...
• To much font sizes: the default should be readable
• the text boxes are to lofty - takes much place in the screen window
• change from light to dark and back ugly...

Just my observations and others have other observations:

"Light Theme":

Flaws

- Thanks @ the bottom are very bad visible.

- Membership status, especial from "Elite Members", very bad visible.

- "Light blue" font on white background is quit stress for the eyes.

- In general, the colors, as well as the chosen red and green are drastic on the white background.

- In general: The whole design is way too colorful and bright with the whole layout. If you just open the link to the forum, you have to "scroll and scroll" to get to the new "postings".

"Dark Theme"

Absolute not my style, as I never use "Dark Theme" any where. But as told: This are just my observations and others may have other ideas.

Logo is so big, that it takes 30% of my screen.
Really I hate it, I really feel stomach pain, entering forum now.

It looks ugly, it's not friendly, it looks more like "candy forum" for YOLO traders.

If it's possible, please give opportunity to leave the old theme for people who wants.

If layout won't gonna change I will just leave this forum, sadly.

On the main page, there are large categories, such as "Trading Reviews and Vendors", "Traders Hideout", etc, which correspond to the main categories (subforums) within the forum.

Unfortunately, these don't drill down deeply enough to get to the thread level, so many of these, such as "Trading Journals", are empty. The windows that are not empty simply have only the next heading down (Trading Reviews and Vendors has a link for "Brokers", but nothing else.)

You would expect a list of journals under Trade Journals, for instance. Also, the size of these main windows varies. Trading Journals has lots of (blank) space, but Psychology and Money Management has very little.

The new themes are obviously more a work in progress than a finished product, and this thread is for things that need correcting.

Please make any comments on the new themes in terms of something that can be acted on, and illustrate it with a screenshot so Mike and the developer will know what you mean.

For example, here are three ways to convey a real issue about readability in the light theme:

1. (Expressive, but not too helpful): "Ugh, it's awful, I can't read it."

2. (Much more valuable): "The light theme can be hard to read because it sometimes uses light colors for text on a light background." This is a description of something that can be identified and fixed.

3. (Better still): "On page x, the light theme has text in light blue on a much brighter background, and there is not enough contrast to easily read it," followed by a screenthot of the problem.

Note that the screenshot is usually the most important part of the comment, because it makes what you are talking about more clear.

Please give us a hand, because feedback is the only way to get things fixed -- which you know if you've ever had to have something you have written proofread, or if you've ever had to have bugs fixed, or had any problem corrected.

Indent doesn't seem to work anymore

I've not been a huge fan of the new light theme but decided I would give it a chance before saying anything. Today the forum has switched back to the original format and its clear I like this much more. It's not the colors as much as the size of everything. The old format is nice and compact, the new light them is to big and blocky.

I agree it is too big, and this will be fixed in tonight's rollout.

Uhhh... shocking about the design... extremly big and in my eyes are ugly... no more overview.... no more feeling "at home"... this is not a good concept... the colors are to much.... I am loving an light version (dark is not my thing), but this is a glaring composition... please change back to the old design... I am missing the wellbeing factor. Sorry, but if you would show the new design before changing, we would have a chance to telling you this before... But whatever you do: please DO NOT change to a dark design! What do you mean overview is missing? A screenshot illustrating what you are saying is blank?

The new themes were shared for a month here before deployment, open to feedback. Naturally, there are bugs to be expected -- this is the biggest facelift in 14 years of the site.

Please be patient, everything will be addressed.
