Can someone tell me how to unsubscribe from threads? I'm getting a bunch of emails every day linking to threads I never subscribed to. I went to "Change Subscriptions" but don't see where to unsubscribe to these threads.
Thanks

@phantomtrader

Go to "UserCP". Now go to "List Subcriptions" and you will see this:

Take out all "Notifications:. Further you go to "Selected Threads" Here you choose: "Deletes Suscription" and you further choose: "No E-Mail notification.

Have a nice day.

Yes, as @Symple said above.

There is also the reason why you got subscribed to the threads in the first place.

By default, if you post in a thread, you are automatically subscribed. This is likely why you are getting these subscriptions in the first place.

If in UserCP you go Settings & Options > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification > Default Thread Subscription Mode, you will see this:

This is mine, which is marked "Do not subscribe", because it was driving me crazy to be automatically subscribed to anything I made a post in.

The choices are:
- Do not subscribe
- No email notification
- Instant email notification
- Daily email notification
- Weekly email notification

For the sake of sanity, if you are an active poster, choose "Do not subscribe" and don't forget to click "Save Changes," way down at the bottom of the long page. Peace, it's wonderful.

At the top of each thread you will find "FOLLOW" and "UNFOLLOW" big blue buttons. That's the easiest way.

In addition, at the bottom of each thread email that goes out, there is a 1-click unsubscribe link that will unsubscribe you from receiving more replies of that thread. It also automatically logs you in, so it's as painless as possible.

Bob, I don't think I ever posted to these threads. They just started showing up in my email.

Thanks for the guidance.

Thanks for the guidance.

There are only three ways you can start receiving emails for thread updates:

1. Post a reply and accept the defaults, to subscribe to the thread
2. Click the big blue "Follow" button at the top of a thread
3. Click a Newsletter link to a thread, which will subscribe you to updates

As for item 3, I absolutely have on my to-do list to enhance that behavior but for the moment that is how it is.

I might have clicked on a newsletter link. That's probably it. Thanks.
